2010 Gallery Holiday Shows

I'm excited to have my work represented at two wonderful holiday shows at local Vermont galleries this season, along with several local gift shops! Many other local artists have their art and wares for sale at these shows as well, so it's a great, high quality one-stop-shop without all the hassles of mall crowds, allowing you to support the arts locally.

Emile A. Gruppe Gallery's "Festive Fine Arts for the Holidays" in Jericho, VT runs through Dec 23rd, 2010  Join me at the Gruppe Gallery this Saturday, December 18th, for an Artists' Reception at 2 pm! Curator Emily Alexander has done a beautiful job incorporating the handiworks of 20 artists, including mine,  into her cozy gallery spaces to make an inviting shopping experience for all. Emily has gathered a great variety of framed and matted artwork for sale, unique gotu fish prints on shirts, baby clothes and pillows by Gretchen Alexander, wooden boxes, pottery, cards galore, knitted sweaters, hats and mittens and more...all priced reasonably. You'll find a good selection of my prints, both color and black & white, for sale there, along with my framed original watercolor of "Snowfall on Soldier Hill". You'll also find my note cards, gift cards, kids items and Wildlife in Winter advent calendar there as well as several original ocean acrylics on gesso board at great prices!  The Gruppe Gallery is located at 22 Barber Farm Road, Jericho, VT and is open Thursdays through Sundays 10 - 3 pm or by appointment. Creative Space Gallery's "Holiday Show" in Vergennes, VT, runs through Jan 8, 2011. This ecclectic merging of artists' works has a lovely selection to choose from: Beautifully crafted woven nests, unique handbags and jackets by Marsha Chase harkening to woodlands and all things organic, Eloise Beil's stunning landscapes in oils, hand-painted wooden ornaments and boxes, fiber art and funky hats by Karen Henderson. You'll find my complete selection of kids' products (color-your-own bookmarks, cards with watercolor pencils & brush, wildlife postcards, tote bags with fabric markers, and more!) for those 5 to 16-yr-olds on your list. I have many hand-painted limited edition prints for sale, framed, matted or unmatted to suit your price range. My holiday cards are for sale  there as well. The Old Mill Craft Shop is looking like Christmas!
The Old Mill Craft Shop in Jericho, VT offers a wide variety of my cards and kids items, along with my Lake Champlain color prints from the book Lake Champlain: A Natural History published by the Lake Champlain Committee. This beautiful, historic site is a wonderful spot to shop for hand-crafted items. They are located right on Route 15 as you come into Jericho. Their hours are 10 - 4 pm daily. A Flower a Day Gift Shop in Colchester, VT has a big selection of my holiday and kids items too! Located right on Route 127 (203 West Lakeshore Drive) overlooking Malletts Bay, this wonderful little flower shop has many ideas for stocking stuffers and interesting gifts for loved ones.
