Artist Libby Davidson has been illustrating Vermont's landscapes and wildlife for over 20 years, working primarily in pen & ink and watercolor, with new works in acrylic on canvas.

Most recently, Libby completed ink and watercolor illustrations for a new book just out this October, 2008, published by the Lake Champlain Committee titled Lake Champlain: A Natural History. Check it out here at http://www.lakechamplaincommittee.org .Libby's illustrations grace a 2 page spread for each of 6 sections and enhance this wonderful compilation of essays about Lake Champlain's interesting features.

Her most comprehensive illustration project has been for the book Wetland, Woodland, Wildland: A Guide to the Natural Communities of Vermont, published by The Nature Conservancy of Vermont, and Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife, from which she has created a series of limited edition prints and note cards. Other books that she has illustrated include Wild Adventures: A Guidebook of Activities for Building Connections with Others and the Earth and Life in the Cold, a winter ecology textbook through University Press of New England.

Over the years, her illustrations have appeared in publications for the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, Vermont Conservation Commission and Wild Earth magazine, among others.

Libby also enjoys mural painting and has created several 35 foot long wetland dioramas along with habitat displays for the Birds of Vermont Museum in Huntington, Vermont. In 2001 she completed a number of  large murals, including a 3-dimensional maple tree for Dr. Dan Beisiegel's new office space in Colchester, Vermont, creating a unique Vermont countryside for children to enjoy.

Libby lives in Colchester with her husband, Rich, and children.
